Helena Basketball Summer Season 26/27
Welcome to another exciting season with Helena Basketball Club as we compete in the 26/27 Hills Raiders Basketball Association Competition.
We proudly welcome players from across the Perth Hills & Foothills community to join HBC. Whether you’re brand new to basketball, returning for another season, or looking for a supportive club environment to grow your game — there’s a place for you here. Our focus is on development, teamwork, confidence and creating a positive club culture both on and off the court.

We encourage all players, coaches, team managers and families to familiarise themselves with how the competition operates by reviewing the information available on our website.
Games are held at:
Mundaring Arena – 50 Mundaring Weir Road, Mundaring
Mundaring Christian College – 1605 Walker Street, Mundaring
More general information can be found for Players, Coaches and Team Managers HERE.
We look forward to welcoming new and returning families to HBC for a fantastic season ahead.
Summer Basketball Registrations are now closed.
Summer registrations were only open for a limited time.
Teams are now being assembled. We will be in touch soon with those who have registered.
If you missed out, there are some places still available. Please reach out via the contact page to see if there's a spot in your age group.
How it works
1) Individual players REGISTER to the Club via PlayHQ. Registration fees are paid at this point.
NOTE: During registration, parents/carers can nominate their interest in volunteering as a Team Coach or Team Manager. These are volunteer roles and every team must have both positions filled before the team can proceed.
2) The Club allocates registered players, coaches and team managers to teams.
This process generally takes 2-4 weeks.
3) HBC advises players of their team allocation and provides the links to finalise TeamPay ready for game day.
Shorts will be allocated to individual players who ordered them.
Team jerseys will be managed by the Team Manager throughout the season.
Register now to secure your place. Late registrations cannot be guaranteed a team.

Uniform Supply & Purchase
As HBC continues to grow, we have updated the way we supply uniforms to better align with other community sporting clubs and to ensure long-term sustainability for our volunteers and finances.
Jerseys (Singlets) – provided by the Club (on loan)
Shorts – purchased by players
If you are a new player, you will need to purchase club shorts for $25 as part of your registration via PlayHQ.
If you are a current player who has lost, damaged, or outgrown your shorts, you will also need to purchase new shorts.
Kidsport Vouchers
IMPORTANT- When applying for a KidSport voucher, please select Hills Raiders Basketball Association as the approved KidSport club, NOT Helena Basketball Club.
Ensure you have the voucher approved and the code ready before registering on PlayHQ.
Please forward the KidSport Funding Approved email to us for validation.
Allocation of Players
Helena Basketball Club prefers to enter teams according to the players’ school-year groups.
We believe domestic competition should focus on having fun, which is usually best achieved when students can play with their classmates.
If you are a current member and are wondering which division you may go into, it will be based on how many teams we have registered in that age group. We hope to place you with friends who have similar abilities.
Typically, teams that continue will move up together, even if not all the players are quite old enough, to keep peers together.
However, if you have concerns about your child not moving up, we can consider alternative options.
PLEASE NOTE: After grading has happened in the first few weeks of the season, some teams may be adjusted to different divisions; however, playing day should not change.
We intend to enter teams as follows:
Year 1/2/3 - U10 (girls & mixed) age 6 or over
Year 4 - U12 (boys & girls)
Year 5 - U12 (boys & girls)
Year 6 - U14 (boys & girls)
Year 7- U14 (boys & girls)
Year 8 - U16 (boys & girls)
Year 9 - U16 (boys & girls)
Year 10 - U18 (boys) - senior women’s or U17 girls TBC (girls)
Year 11 - U18 (boys & girls)
Year 12 - U20 (boys)
Year 12 - Senior Women (girls)
Seniors – open to Old Helenians and Parents & Friends of the College.

Volunteering With Helena Basketball Club
Helena Basketball Club is proudly run by volunteers. Our club only operates because of the many parents, players and community members who generously give their time throughout the season.
There are many ways you can get involved, including:
• Coaching a team
• Team managing
• Helping on the committee
• Supporting events or club activities
• Assisting with occasional or ad-hoc tasks during the season
Whether you can contribute regularly or simply lend a hand when needed, every bit of support helps keep the club running smoothly for our players and families.
Volunteer Registration Discount
As a small thank you for your contribution, Helena Basketball Club offers discounted HBC player registration fees to volunteers who take on key roles such as coaches, team managers or committee members.
This discount is available to volunteers who wish to exercise the offer and is our way of recognising the time and effort given to support the club and its players. Can only be used at the time of player registration and not reimbursed if forgotten to use.
If you are interested in volunteering this season, or would like to learn more about how you can help, please reach out to the club. We are always happy to welcome new volunteers into the Helena community.
