WINTER 2025 basketball is here. Please reach out via email to check the availability of spots within your age group if you missed registering for a team.
Games are played at the Mundaring Arena, located at 50 Mundaring Weir Road, and some junior games will be played at Mundaring Christian College, 1605 Walker St, Mundaring. All are on the indoor courts.

Competition dates
The Winter 2025 season runs from Term 2 through to Term 3, 2025.
Season start:
Term 2, 2025

Break for Mid-Year School Holidays

Finals:
Top 4 Teams in each division (except U10's who don't have finals)

Game Times: Varied timeslots will be allocated each week so they are fairly distributed amongst teams and age groups.
Games run for: 2 x 20-minute halves, with 5 minute break at half-time.

Some age divisions have been split to accommodate growing numbers. HRBA do not want our students, due to age or studies/commitments, to play games in the later time slots on a school night.

As such no special requests for game times will be taken for the season as each timeslot will need to be shared around fairly for minimal impact on all teams.
​
If there is space and teams need to be re-graded, they may be required to move from the enrolled Division up or down and change competition day. Please keep this in mind when enrolling. Thank you.
Fees
Fees are set up as follows:
Players register through the PlayerHQ Website and pay upfront Fees for the Season
​
There are then ongoing fees for the competition allocated to Hills Raiders who run the competition and manage the venue fees.
Season fees payable upon registration:
Hills Raiders Player Registration Fee $77.00
Helena Basketball Club Fee $35.00
Basketball WA Annual Fee (if due during the season) $43.84
Basketball Australia Annual Fee $5.61 (if due during the season)
Ongoing Fees:
As listed below to be paid via the TeamPay App direct to Hills Raiders Assoc.
Weekly Game Fee per Team:
Junior Teams $77.00
Senior & Mixed Teams $83.00

This fee is allocated amongst players each week by the Team Manager using the TeamPay App
Allocation of Players
As a school-based club, our preference is to enter teams according to the players’ school year groups.
​
We believe the domestic competition should be focussed on having fun, and this is usually best achieved when the students are able to play with their classmates.
​
Due to the division of age groups set by Hills Raiders, it will mean that some of our younger players will need to play ‘up’ an age group in order to stay with their friends.
​
Please let us know if you would prefer your child to stay in their allocated age division.
​
If you are a current member and wondering what division you may go into, it will be based on how many teams we have registered in that age group, and we will hope to have the with friends but also similar abilities.
​
Typically, teams that are continuing will move up together, even if all the players aren’t quite old enough in the interest of keeping peers together.
However, if you have concerns about your child not moving up, we can consider alternative options.
​
PLEASE NOTE: After grading has happened in the first few weeks of the season, some teams may be requested to change days based on the best-suited division for the players.
We intend to enter teams as follows:
Year 1/2/3 - U10 mixed (age 6 or over)
Year 4 - U12 (boys & girls)
Year 5 - U12 (boys & girls)
Year 6 - U14 (boys & girls)
Year 7- U14 (boys & girls)
Year 8 - U16 (boys & girls)
Year 9 - U16 (boys & girls)
Year 10 - U18 (boys & girls)
Year 11 - U18 (boys & girls)
Year 12 - U20 (boys)
Year 12 - Senior Women (girls)
Seniors – open to Old Helenians and Parents & Friends of the College.
