Welcome to another awesome Summer Season with the Hills Raiders Basketball Association Competition for 25/26.

We want you to have access to a lot of information as a Player, Coach, and Team Manager. Please make yourself familiar with how it all works by reading the information provided on our website.
​Games are run from Mundaring Arena, located at 50 Mundaring Weir Road, Mundaring, WA and Mundaring Christian College, 1605 Walker St, Mundaring.

Competition dates
The Summer 25/26 season runs from Term 4, 2025, through to Term 1, 2026. *Competition dates may be subject to change.
Season start:
Term 4, 2025
Tuesday, 14th October, 2025
It runs for 10 weeks, then,
Saturday, 20th December, 2025
Break for Christmas School Holidays
Season recommences:
Term 1, 2026
Tuesday, 3rd February, 2026
Runs for 5 weeks,
through to Saturday, 7th March, 2026
Finals:
Top 4 Teams in each division (except U10's who don't have finals)
Tuesday 10th March, 2026
Finals run for 3 weeks,
through to Saturday, 28th March, 2026

Games are run from:

Games are a mix of indoor courts & outdoor hardcourts.

Game Times: Varied timeslots will be allocated each week so they are fairly distributed amongst teams and age groups.
Games run for: 2 x 20-minute halves, with 5 minute break at half-time.

What is the New Championship League?
A Champions League is looking to be established for aspiring and current WABL players to keep their skills up over the Summer. This is in addition to the current domestic teams' games, not instead of.
It’s suggested it will be a round robin, no specific team nor training, just extra games, with rotation of players to keep your skills sharp. WABL players, you’ll be notified. Aspiring players (limited spots), will be invited to apply closer to the time directly from Hills Raiders.
Fees
Fees are set up as follows:
Players register through the PlayerHQ Website and pay upfront Fees for the Season

There are then ongoing fees for the competition allocated to Hills Raiders who run the competition and manage the venue fees.
Season fees payable upon registration:
Hills Raiders Player Registration Fee $82.00
Helena Basketball Club Fee $35.00 max TBA
Basketball WA Annual Fee (if due during the season) $41.75
Basketball Australia, Game Development Levy (12 mths) $5.61 (subject to change for this coming season)
Ongoing Fees:
As listed below to be paid via the TeamPay App direct to Hills Raiders Assoc.
Weekly Game Fee per Team:
Junior Teams $82.00
Senior & Mixed Teams $90.00

This fee is allocated amongst players each week by the Team Manager using the TeamPay App
Allocation of Players
As a school-based club, our preference is to enter teams according to the players’ school year groups.
​
We believe the domestic competition should be focussed on having fun, and this is usually best achieved when the students are able to play with their classmates. ​
​
If you are a current member and wondering what division you may go into, it will be based on how many teams we have registered in that age group, and we will hope to have them with friends but also similar abilities.
​
Typically, teams that are continuing will move up together, even if all the players aren’t quite old enough in the interest of keeping peers together.
However, if you have concerns about your child not moving up, we can consider alternative options.
​
PLEASE NOTE: After grading has happened in the first few weeks of the season, some teams may be adjusted divisions, however playing day should not change.
We intend to enter teams as follows:
Year 1/2/3 - U10 mixed (age 6 or over)
Year 4 - U12 (boys & girls)
Year 5 - U12 (boys & girls)
Year 6 - U14 (boys & girls)
Year 7- U14 (boys & girls)
Year 8 - U16 (boys & girls)
Year 9 - U16 (boys & girls)
Year 10 - U18 (boys) - senior women’s or U17 girls TBC (girls)
Year 11 - U18 (boys & girls)
Year 12 - U20 (boys)
Year 12 - Senior Women (girls)
Seniors – open to Old Helenians and Parents & Friends of the College.
